Echinodorus 'Red Flame'

Echinodorus 'Red Flame' is a protected variety that originates from the nursery Hans Barth in Germany. It is said to be selected from a stock of Echinodorus 'Ozelot' and differs from this variety by the much more conspicuous red patches. The submerged leaves are basically red-brown but with beautiful dark red patches and the plant holds therefore a high value as solitary eye catcher in the aquarium. See Echinodorus osiris for more information on growth requirements.
